Boerum Hill Streetscape

An empty lot on an increasingly attractive street was an invitation – to weeds and worse. The owners asked us to make the street ‘face’ more attractive, as part of the ongoing neighborhood improvement.

A planting combination with year-round interest includes the classic combination of Laburnum trees and Allium bulbs, followed by Kerria japonica, flowering shrubs with golden flowers in spring and summer and bright green stems all winter. It turned out to be a traffic-stopper.
